Elevators
These are systems intended for the vertical movement of people, generally consisting of a cabin where users are housed and a lifting system.
Elevators can range in speed from 0.5 to 3 meters per second and above and are distinguished by several and numerous features that can also combine with each other.
In fact, we have vertical elevators, inclined elevators (which in turn can be sloping or variable-direction elevators), panoramic elevators, made of glass, hydraulic, electric, rope, rack and pinion, and explosion-proof.
Platforms
These installations for vertical movement of people or goods are distinguished from elevators by their reduced speed as well as by the reference standard with which they are designed.
Again, there are different types, both according to their purpose (from platforms for transporting heavy loads to those for overcoming architectural barriers with ease) and according to their characteristics (vertical, inclined, sloping or variable-direction, panoramic, hydraulic, electric or rack-and-pinion).
Escalators and moving walkways
They are means of collective transportation of people used when there is a considerable flow of people or things being transported.
They are found, for example, in shopping malls, airports or large railway stations, and fairgrounds.
Freight elevators and other solutions
These are systems for the vertical handling of even very heavy or otherwise bulky goods.
